Stop scrambling for programming. This is a meaningful, expert-led conversation, done for you!

A Moment for Disability ERGs to be in the Spotlight

Every July comes Disability Pride Month, and with it comes the pressure to do something. The Slack channel asking what's planned. The well-meaning email.

You care. Your members care. But pulling together meaningful programming takes time, expertise, and resources you may not have, on top of everything else you're already doing.

Don’t let the month pass by. We’ve got you covered.

Introducing: Disability Pride β€” A Live Panel Discussion for the Workplace and Beyond

A fully done-for-you Disability Pride Month event your organization can attend, for one flat rate.

This 75-minute live virtual panel hosted by Catarina Rivera features disability advocates, educators, and thought leaders in an honest, facilitated conversation about Disability Pride, workplace identity, and what inclusion looks like in practice.

You don't have to source speakers. You don't have to build a program. You don't have to wonder if it'll land.

You just show up and so does your organization.

Meet the Expert Panelists

This panel brings a level of expertise and lived experience that's rare to find in one room. Our speakers have spoken at the United Nations, built ERGs from scratch, written books, and shaped how major companies approach disability inclusion. They've done the work, and it shows.

Getting Disability Pride Right

Early in my career, I was one of the founding leaders of a Disability Inclusion Affinity Group at my workplace. When I first joined, the group was called the "Differently Abled" affinity group.

The name made me cringe, but I held myself back, willed myself to be patient, and said, "I'd love to join and be one of the leaders."

Getting that name changed took time, patience, and sustained advocacy. It required internal education, open discussion, and centering disabled voices. When we finally aligned on a new name, one that reflected our goal of disability inclusion, it was our first real accomplishment as a group.

That experience taught me something I carry into every ERG conversation: the work of disability inclusion is complex. It requires understanding disability identity, holding space for nuance, and facilitating challenging conversations.

Most ERG leaders are doing this work with limited support and even less time. That's exactly why we’re hosting this event.
